ONLINE LATIN CAMP

I am planning an online Latin camp for June 29--July 3 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST!
The cost will be $75 with a $10 registration/supply fee.
Students will review Latin grammar and ending as well as learn about Roman culture.
Choose your own Latin name!
Learn how the Romans picked a wedding day!
Find out how the Romans washed their clothes (you won't believe it)!

Latin Summer Camps

Latin Summer Camps
Dates: June 15-19, 2009 OR July 6--10, 2009. I may add another week if necessary! I may also do an online camp!
Time: 9:00am- 1:00pm Bring a bag lunch (except for Friday when we shall eat aRoman lunch!)Who: children ages 9 and up
Where: Fredericksburg Church of Christ 336 Riverside Drive Fredericksburg, VA 22401
Cost: $100 per student plus $25 supply fee. Discounts given to two students whose parents might help with the camp (must be willing to eat lunch with the students, clean up, perform administrative tasks, etc.). Please apply for positions.

Learn the basis for all Romance languages and the language from whichEnglish gets 52.6% of words!

GRAMMAR SCHOOL LATIN A

GRAMMAR SCHOOL LATIN A:

This course will cover basic Latin grammar including 1st, 2nd, and 2nd Neuter declensions; verbs, 1st and 2nd conjugations and tenses present, imperfect and future; vocabulary; and translation.

This class will meet twice a week for 30 weeks.

TEXTS NEEDED: Latin for Children A; Latin for Children A Activity Book; Libellus de Historia A

For a limited time, all classes are $300/year plus a $50 registration fee. This fee will increase (date to be announced.)

GRAMMAR SCHOOL LATIN B:
This course will be a continuation of Grammar School Latin A. Students should know the basic concepts stated above in Grammar School Latin A above and know the vocabulary from Latin for Children A.

This class will meet twice a week for 30 weeks.

HENLE LATIN I

HENLE LATIN I:

This class is for students seventh grade and up and will focus on Latin grammar, vocabulary and translation. The class will also explore English derivatives that come from Latin.

Students do not need any prior foreign language experience. However, they should have a good knowledge of English grammar.

Students will use the Henle First Year Latin text. The class will meet twice a week for thirty weeks.

Mrs. Sheppard will provide quizzes, tests and study plans. Successful completion of this class will yield one high school foreign language credit.
TEXTs NEEDED: Henle Latin First Year; Henle Grammar.

HIGH SCHOOL LATIN III/UPPER LEVEL LATIN

HIGH SCHOOL LATIN III/UPPER LEVEL LATIN:

Students should have previously completed at least two years of high school Latin in order to participate in this class.

We shall review major grammatical points and then translate some of the works of Caesar, Livy, Cicero and Vergil.

The class will meet twice a week for thirty weeks. Mrs. Sheppard will provide quizzes, tests and study plans.

Successful completion of this class will yield one high school foreign language credit.

TEXTS NEEDED: Excelability in Advanced Latin & others T.B.D. (inexpensive ones)
